Stephen turns 1

Stephen is cruising, babbling (hey, dadadada),  making a very 'knowing' eye contract, protesting very vocally when he doesn't like something (what a powerful voice--I guess he has to compete to be heard in our house!)

James understands the concept of zero.  He said the other day that it was funny that Stephen is currently zero years old.  I told him that that's correct,  because a year ago he didn't exist.  He corrected me and said, well, he is more than a year old, because he did exist last year, he just slept in my belly.
As for math, he's been counting for a while now well into tens (until he loses patience around 40/50), and adds into 20's.  He reads a long list of sight words in English (numbers, colors, prepositions, pronouns, articles, plus words like door, play, my, sit, and many, many more.  He can read words in Serbocroatian, too.  The best thing is that I don't have to push him, he'll volunteer what he can do as I read to him before bedtime.
